Even Trade collects no personal data. There is no account, no email address, no phone number, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not know who uses the app.
Every trade is stored on your phone and on the phone of the person you traded with. Nothing is stored on a server run by us or anyone else. If you delete the app, your copy of your trades is gone; the other person keeps theirs.
When two phones agree a trade in the same room, messages pass through a relay at eventrade.net so the two screens can stay in step. Those messages are encrypted on your phone with a key made from the pairing code the two of you share. The relay forwards them and keeps nothing: no copy, no log, no record that the session happened. It cannot read them.
The camera is used only to scan a code on another phone. No image is saved or sent anywhere.
The name you type is shown to the people you trade with and stored on their phones as part of the trade. Use whatever name you like.
A group's rates and its trades are held on its members' phones. We have no copy.
Even Trade is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. They handle payment and tell us nothing about you.
If this ever changes, we will say so here and in the app before it does.
